CONTRACT CHAPTER

Agreement foundation

Who the agreement applies to, how the website may be used and how customer accounts are protected.

01
WHAT THESE TERMS COVER

Agreement and scopeKEY CLAUSE

These Terms and Conditions govern use of the V0LT website and the supply of repair services, technical services, products, online orders, customer accounts and business services by FixPay Pty Ltd (trading as V0LT).

A contract may also include an estimate, booking confirmation, repair check-in record, approved quote, invoice, product description, warranty statement or business account arrangement. If documents conflict, mandatory law applies first, followed by the most specific agreed document for the transaction.

Australian Consumer Law remains in place.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

02
WORDS USED THROUGHOUT THESE TERMS

Key definitions

Customer / you

The person or organisation purchasing, booking, owning, authorising or collecting a product or service.

Device

A phone, tablet, computer, console, storage device or other electronic item provided for service.

Estimate

An indicative or model-based price that may require inspection and confirmation.

Quote

A proposed price and scope submitted for approval after sufficient information is available.

Repair record

The booking, job, check-in, approval, technician and collection information linked to a service.

Business customer

An organisation or person purchasing primarily for business use, subject to applicable consumer protections.

03
RULES FOR USING THE WEBSITE

Website use and acceptable conduct

You may use the website for lawful personal or business purposes connected with V0LT services. You must not interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorised access, misuse another person’s account, submit malicious code, scrape protected systems or use false information to obtain a service.

  • Website content may be updated, corrected or withdrawn.
  • Availability, price and compatibility information should be checked before relying on it for a transaction.
  • Automated or bulk access requires written permission.
  • Links to third-party maps, payments, delivery or services are subject to the third party’s own terms.
04
LOGIN, IDENTITY AND LINKED RECORDS

Customer accounts and security

Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials and verification methods secure. V0LT may require identity or authority checks before releasing account information, repair information, devices, refunds or orders.

  • Provide accurate contact and account information.
  • Notify V0LT if account access may have been compromised.
  • Do not share staff, administration or inventory credentials.
  • Older repairs or orders may require verification before being linked to an account.
Role separation

Customer, administration and inventory interfaces are separate. Access to a page does not create authority to view or change information.

02
CONTRACT CHAPTER

Repair services

The complete repair journey: estimates, diagnosis, parts, device data and expected timing.

05
HOW ONLINE PRICES AND DIAGNOSTIC WORK OPERATE

Repair estimates and diagnosisKEY CLAUSE

Online estimates are based on the selected model, reported fault and available repair option. They are intended to provide a useful expected price, but are not a final commitment where inspection reveals a different model, hidden damage, prior repair, additional faults or unavailable parts.

  • Common repairs may receive an online estimated total.
  • No-power, liquid, motherboard and data-recovery work normally requires diagnosis.
  • A diagnostic or assessment fee may apply where disclosed before the service.
  • The final scope and price should be approved before additional work begins.
Price changes require approval.

If inspection materially changes the repair, V0LT will pause and seek approval for the revised scope, price and expected timing.

06
APPROVAL, PARTS AND QUALITY CONTROL

Repair authorisation and service processKEY CLAUSE

By approving a repair, the customer authorises V0LT to perform the agreed work, open the device as reasonably necessary, replace or repair approved components and carry out functional testing.

STAGEWHAT V0LT DOESCUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Check-inRecords the device, reported fault, condition and supplied accessories.Provide accurate ownership, fault and contact information.
DiagnosisConfirms likely cause, suitable options and additional damage.Review and respond to approval requests.
RepairPerforms approved work using the selected or confirmed option.Do not demand work outside the approved scope without a revised agreement.
Quality controlTests the repaired function and relevant device features.Provide passcode or testing method where reasonably required.
CollectionVerifies the collector and records release.Pay amounts due and bring suitable identification or authority.
07
WHAT APPLIES TO REPLACEMENT PARTS

Parts, compatibility and customer-supplied components

Repair options may include compatible, refurbished original or genuine service-pack parts where available. The selected option should be recorded on the estimate, approval or invoice.

  • Part availability can change before the device is checked in or the part is allocated.
  • Visual, performance or software behaviour may differ between part categories.
  • Customer-supplied parts may be refused if compatibility, condition or safety cannot be established.
  • Warranty for a customer-supplied part may remain with the part supplier; V0LT may limit its voluntary warranty to workmanship, subject to law.
08
CUSTOMER INFORMATION STORED ON DEVICES

Backups, passcodes and data riskKEY CLAUSE

Customers should back up important information before service wherever practical. Most hardware repairs do not intentionally erase data, but data preservation cannot be guaranteed because devices may fail, storage may be damaged, software may require restoration or prior damage may worsen.

  • Remove unnecessary memory cards and accessories before service.
  • A passcode may be requested only where reasonably required for diagnosis or testing.
  • A temporary passcode, test account or supervised test may be suitable.
  • Data-recovery services have a separate risk and approval process.
Important files require a backup.

Where the customer’s main objective is preservation or recovery of data, that objective should be clearly stated before standard repair or software work begins.

09
EXPECTED COMPLETION AND FACTORS OUTSIDE CONTROL

Turnaround, delays and communication

Any completion or delivery time is an estimate unless a specific time is expressly agreed. Timing may be affected by diagnosis, customer approval, part supply, courier performance, previous damage, specialist escalation or events beyond reasonable control.

V0LT will use reasonable care and skill and, where no time is fixed, services supplied to consumers must be completed within a reasonable time as required by applicable law.

03
CONTRACT CHAPTER

Money and orders

Payment, online ordering, pickup, delivery and changes after a transaction begins.

10
WHEN MONEY BECOMES DUE

Prices, deposits and paymentKEY CLAUSE

Prices are displayed or confirmed in Australian dollars. Payment terms are shown at checkout, booking, approval, invoice or business-account setup.

  • For eligible individual free-labour repairs, diagnosis and standard labour are $0. Payment may still be required for approved parts, special orders, shipping, express priority or specialist work before those paid items proceed.
  • The balance is generally due before a repaired device or order is released, unless an approved business account says otherwise.
  • A payment is not complete until the payment system confirms approval.
  • Refunds are returned through an appropriate method and may require verification.
  • Card surcharges, if any, must be disclosed and comply with applicable rules.
11
CHECKOUT, CONFIRMATION AND STOCK ALLOCATION

Online orders and contract formationKEY CLAUSE

Submitting an online order is an offer to purchase the selected products. The order is accepted when V0LT confirms acceptance or begins fulfilment, subject to payment approval, stock verification, pricing accuracy and lawful supply.

  • Cart contents are not reserved until the order is accepted or stock is allocated.
  • Obvious pricing, description or inventory errors may be corrected before acceptance.
  • If an accepted product cannot be supplied, V0LT will offer an appropriate solution, which may include a substitute with agreement, delay, cancellation or refund.
  • Product images are illustrative; colour and appearance can vary by display and manufacturing batch.
12
ORDER AND REPAIR RELEASE REQUIREMENTS

Store pickup and collection

Wait until a repair or order is marked ready before travelling. Collection may require the repair or order number, identification, payment and verification that the collector is authorised.

  • A collection location may change only if stock, custody and workflow allow.
  • Another person may collect when appropriately authorised.
  • High-value, business, security-sensitive or data-recovery items may require additional verification.
  • Store staff may refuse release where identity or authority cannot be reasonably established.
13
SHIPPING AND STORE-TRANSFER TERMS

Delivery, address and transfer risk

Delivery options, charges and available locations are shown during checkout or agreed with the customer. The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

  • Dispatch and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.
  • Address changes may not be possible after dispatch.
  • Where lawful, risk passes according to the applicable delivery arrangement and consumer law.
  • Report visible parcel damage promptly and retain packaging, labels and photographs.
  • Supplier fulfilment, partner handover or transport between controlled custody points may extend the pickup timing shown at checkout.
14
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN INSTRUCTIONS CHANGE

Changes, cancellations and customer non-response

Contact V0LT promptly to request a change or cancellation. Whether a request can be accepted depends on whether parts have been ordered, work has started, stock has been transferred or an order has been dispatched.

Reasonable costs already incurred may remain payable where lawful and clearly connected to the authorised work or special order. Nothing in this section removes a remedy available under consumer law.

04
CONTRACT CHAPTER

Rights and after-sales

Consumer guarantees, warranty support and the lawful handling of uncollected goods.

15
REPAIRS, REPLACEMENTS AND REFUNDS

Returns, faults and consumer guaranteesKEY CLAUSE

Products and services supplied to consumers come with automatic guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances and whether a failure is major or minor, a consumer may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, repeat performance or compensation.

Faulty product

Contact V0LT with proof of purchase and the fault. Inspection may be needed before the remedy is confirmed.

Unsatisfactory service

V0LT must provide services with due care and skill and meet other applicable service guarantees.

Change of mind

A change-of-mind return depends on the stated store policy and product condition; it is separate from mandatory consumer rights.

Clearance or sale item

Consumer guarantees can still apply to faulty goods even where an item was discounted, subject to the disclosed reason for the discount.

Voluntary warranties are additional.

A manufacturer or V0LT warranty does not replace automatic consumer guarantees.

Read the Warranty page →
16
STORAGE, NOTICE AND LAWFUL DISPOSAL

Uncollected devices, orders and goodsKEY CLAUSE

Customers should collect devices and orders promptly after notice that they are ready. V0LT may contact the customer, move the goods to suitable storage and recover reasonable charges where agreed or legally permitted.

Uncollected goods will only be sold, disposed of or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the applicable agreement and NSW law, including required notices, waiting periods, value categories and any necessary tribunal or court process.

No automatic ownership transfer.

A device does not simply become V0LT property because it was not collected. The lawful uncollected-goods process must be followed.

17
VOLUNTARY COVERAGE AND INSPECTION

Repair and product warranty support

The applicable voluntary warranty is recorded on the invoice or product information and is subject to the stated scope, exclusions and inspection. New impact, liquid exposure, misuse, unauthorised repair, normal wear or unrelated faults are not normally treated as the original warranty issue.

Warranty periods do not limit rights that continue under the Australian Consumer Law for a reasonable time based on the circumstances.

05
CONTRACT CHAPTER

Business and legal

Business authority, intellectual property, liability, complaints, governing law and contact details.

18
ACCOUNTS, APPROVALS AND FLEETS

Business customers and authorised representatives

A business customer must identify people authorised to request work, approve quotes, receive information, collect devices and incur charges. V0LT may rely on an authorised representative until notified of a change.

  • Purchase-order, approval-limit and invoice requirements should be agreed before work.
  • Devices should be labelled or recorded sufficiently to maintain custody and user history.
  • Business accounts must pay within the agreed invoice period.
  • Some business purchases may still receive Australian Consumer Law protections depending on the transaction and law.
19
WEBSITE MATERIALS AND SUBMITTED INFORMATION

Intellectual property and customer content

V0LT retains rights in its website design, branding, written material, software and original content. Customers may use the website for the intended service but may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission.

The customer retains ownership of their device data and submitted content. The customer grants V0LT permission to use submitted information only as reasonably required to provide the service, operate the account, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

20
LAWFUL LIMITS ONLY

Liability and matters outside reasonable controlKEY CLAUSE

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, V0LT is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate customer information, undisclosed prior damage, customer-supplied parts, failure to back up data, unauthorised third-party work or events outside reasonable control.

Any permitted limitation must be interpreted consistently with the Australian Consumer Law, unfair contract term protections and other applicable legislation.

No blanket exclusion.

These terms do not attempt to remove responsibility for V0LT’s own failure to meet a non-excludable legal obligation.

21
HOW CONCERNS ARE HANDLED

Complaints and dispute resolutionKEY CLAUSE

Raise a concern with V0LT first and provide the repair, order or invoice number, a clear description and the requested outcome. V0LT should review the record, inspect the product or device where necessary and provide a reasoned response.

  • Urgent safety, privacy or payment concerns should be identified clearly.
  • Customers should keep devices, products, packaging and evidence relevant to the issue.
  • If a matter is not resolved, external consumer, tribunal or legal options may be available.
22
HOW THE AGREEMENT IS INTERPRETED

Governing law, severability and changes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in New South Wales, Australia, subject to any mandatory law that applies elsewhere. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is to be read down where possible, and the remaining provisions continue.

V0LT may update these terms for future transactions. Material changes should be identified by version and date. The terms accepted for an existing transaction do not change retrospectively unless agreed or required by law.
